My Reflection

I have been learning to relate to the characters in the text.

We have been reading George's Marvellous Medicine. I thought of some words to describe Grandma  from what I learnt about her her in the story. 

I enjoyed this because the story was funny and the author made it interesting by adding lots of WOW words about Grandma. 

My next step is to write a paragraph describing grandma using these words.

 I have been learning to identify nouns,verbs and adjectives a noun is a person place or thing.  

I found this work easy because I learnt it in year three.  My next step is to get them all right.

I found this work easy because i could tell what they mean because I live in New Zealand.

I think I did well at this piece of work because I know a lot about flags and the flags in the the book is why I think it is easy because I can look of the book and the internet. My next step is to keep practising to summarise.

I was learning to understand the parts of a fraction.  I thought it was easy because I could see what the fraction would be.  I knew that the bottom number was 2 because 2 pieces would make a whole.  It was easy even when the top number wasn't 2.

I have been learning to find information in a non-fiction book by skinning  and scanning.

Skinning is when we read quickly over a text to get on idea of what the book is about.Scanning is 

when we look for specific information in a text and looked for key words or phrases. I read a book about croccdiles crocodiles.I budded up with Aaron to   using a venn diagram.I found this easy because I could look at the book faster. My 

next step is to get it done faster.
